This training is recommended for all RISD employees. Participates will gain a strong understanding of the development of autism spectrum disorders over the years and how we've reach the current status of autism in RISD and nationally. The characteristics of autism spectrum disorders, gifts and challenges of students and how these present themselves in the classroom. Additionally, students will be sharing their perspectives as a student with autism and session participates will experience what it feels like to be a student with autism through our autism stimulation experience.
